SIXT PREMIUM CLEANING STANDARD
Our promise to you: every vehicle goes through the SIXT Premium Cleaning Standard. This is a multi-stage cleaning process based on recommendations from the WHO. We use the latest cleaning products and disinfectants to reduce the risk of germ transmission to a minimum.
GENERAL INSPECTION OF VEHICLE

CLEANING OF THE VEHICLE INTERIOR
- Remove trash and lost/found items

Hygiene measures in our branches
To minimize virus transmission in our branches, we provide hygiene products and have introduced intensive cleaning processes. We follow the recommendations of the WHO:
- Plexiglass counter screens in all branches between customers and employees.
- All of our agents are wearing face masks to protect themselves as well as customers. We also require that customers wear a face covering inside all SIXT USA branches.
- Increased frequency of cleaning in the branches.
- Strict codes of conduct for employees based on already high hygiene standards.
- Limiting the number of employees and customers in the station.
Flexibility with your reservation!
Stay flexible with SIXT with easy reservation changes until May 31, 2021.
SIXT offers you full flexibility so that you can stay mobile and make your travel plans with confidence. Bookings made with the “Pay online” option can be changed for only $0.01. Bookings made with the “Pay later” option can be changed free of charge at anytime.

Would you like to know if the SIXT branches are open?
Our SIXT branch network remains available for you. There may be local restrictions in some severely affected coronavirus areas. In these locations, we had to adjust our opening hours due to stricter government regulations.

You have joined SIXT+ and want to know if you can pick up your car?
We support the measures taken by the government to restrict contact and it is allowed for you to pick up your car. This means that you can go to a SIXT station during the current lockdown and pick up your vehicle there.
