At ZRH, the SIXT car hire counter is conveniently located in the Car Hire Centre within walking distance of the terminal. Collect your luggage and follow the “Mietwagen/Rental Car” signs to the Car Hire Centre in the parking area, allowing 15 minutes’ walking time. Look for the orange SIXT sign where the team will direct you to your Zurich Airport car hire. When returning the car follow the signs from the highway to Zurich Airport and then look for directions to the Car Hire Centre return bays – a short distance from the terminal. A parking ticket is not necessary for ZRH car hire returns.
Explore Zurich with your car hire
Hiring a car at Kloten Airport in Zurich will allow you to get into the city - in around 15 minutes where you can explore the pretty lanes of the Old Town (Altstadt), the Museum of Art and the Rietberg Museum which is located in in the Rieterpark. Hire a convertible and take a drive along the shores of Lake Zurich or perhaps explore a little further afield with a spacious 4x4 which provides the perfect solution for a trip into the Swiss Alps in any season. Having your own hire car will give you the freedom to visit different ski resorts in winter, some of which are between 2 and 3 hours’ drive away.
