While for hikers, Masca Mountain is another fantastic route and one of the most popular. Another great activity in Tenerife is whale and dolphin watching, with daily boat excursions departing Los Gigantes, Los Cristianos and Las Americas beaches, where you can also enjoy a lovely beach day with the family. If you find yourselves near Los Cristianos, especially when travelling with children, it’s worth checking out Siam Park, which is a water-based amusement park with slides and an enormous wave pool.
Winter in Tenerife
With its year-long warm climate, you're not really restricted during winter, but this is perhaps the time to explore indoor spaces and do some sightseeing from your hire car. Drive over to the west coast to marvel at Los Gigantes, the 2,600 ft-high cliffs towering over the sea. Then there's the Museum of Nature and Man where you can discover Tenerife's aboriginal culture.
