Your way to Sixt/Shuttle Service

You will receive your rental car at the Sixt branch. In front of arrivals exit, you will find a bus stop with the indication: shuttle bus car rental company which will reach the Car Rental area where our Sixt branch is located. The bus is running from 5.00 am to 11.30 pm (extended in case of late flight) each 15 minutes everyday and takes you to Via Palagio degli Spini. The drive takes about 3 minutes. If you cannot find the the shuttle bus or the shuttle bus station, please call us: +39-0294757979.

Address for GPS: Via del Palagio degli Spini Please do not drive to the airport, please drive directly to the car return at the car rental area, in Via Palagio degli spini we are the second container on the right. Our shuttle bus will bring you back to the airport. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the time you would like to be at your terminal. The closest petrol station is Esso, go right after exiting the car rental center and you will find it on the left hand side after about 300 m.

From Florence City Centre

Follow the indication to Piazza della Stazione and via Della Scala until Piazzale di Porta al Prato. Take Via Delle Porte Nuove, witch then becomes Via Pietro Toselli. Continue on Via Baracca for about 3 km, and as soon as you will arrive at the roundabout, take the first exit on viale Gori. Keep Your left hand side and turn bit left on Via Palagio degli Spini. You will find the Sixt branch on you right hand side.

From Pisa Airport (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno)

Take the highway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno from via Ballini for 1,2 km. Continue to Florence direction following the indication to "viadotto del Ponte all'Indiano" for around 73 km. Take the exit to "Viadotto del Ponte all'Indiano", go straight and then turn left to keep staying onto "Viadotto del Ponte all'Indiano". Turn left and take via giuseppe Martucci, keep the left to turn right on via Basili. Via Basili makes a small bend and becomes via Palagio degli Spini. Go straight for 350 m and you will find us on your right hand side.

From Pisa Airport (Via Motorway)

Take the highway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno from Via Caduti nei Lager Nazisti for 500 m and take the A11/E 76 motorway for 96 km. Enter in the highway Fi-Pi-Li and take the exit to A 12/ E 80 to Firenze-Genova-Pisa North for 10 km. Take the exit Pisa North to E 76 and use the central lane to continue to A 11/E 76. Keep the right hand side and at the crossroads follow the indication to E76/A11/Firenze. Continue on A11/E76 and turn slightly right to take via Gianni Piantanida (follow indication to Osmannoro/Via Pratese). Turn right and take Via Palagio degli Spini. The Sixt branch is on your right hand side.

At FLR, the SIXT car hire branch is in the Car Hire Company building that is a 3-minute shuttle ride from the Terminal. Outside the terminal look for the bus stop for the shuttle for car hire companies. This bus will take you to the branch where you can collect your Florence Airport car hire. Cars cannot be returned to the airport, rather follow the signs to the Car Hire area and SIXT branch. A shuttle will take you to the airport and it is important to return your vehicle at least 30 minutes before you want to be at the terminal building.
