Egypt tends to experience only two seasons, winter and summer, and winter is a good time to visit as the temperatures start to drop between October and May. Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza are best visited in the milder temperatures in December as are the temples in the village of Abu Simbel. Winter in Egypt is an ideal time to hop on that Nile cruise – with the clement temperatures you will be able to sit up on deck enjoying the warm sunshine without the searing heat of summer.

Unfortunately, it is not allowed to cross any international border with the vehicle when hiring a car in Egypt from SIXT.
